Harassment messages sent by Ahmet Aras's advisor have emerged.

Messages included in the investigation file of Levent Arkan, the advisor to Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras, who was detained on charges of sexual harassment against a young female university student he promised to arrange a job for, have emerged. It was reported that Arkan sent messages such as, "I live alone, you can call me anytime," and "Quit your job, I'll send you a ticket to come to me."

The advisor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and the Chairman of the Board of the municipal subsidiary Advertising Inc. (MUBRAŞ), Levent Arkan, was detained on the allegation of "qualified sexual harassment" against a university student he contacted on social media for a job application. Teams also initiated search operations at the suspect's residences in Menteşe, Bodrum, and İzmir.

"I'LL SEND YOU THE TICKET, COME TO ME"

The complainant university student stated that Arkan constantly called her to come to him, while the messages included in the file drew attention. It was reported that Arkan sent messages to the university student such as, “I live alone, you can call me anytime,” “Come on now,” “Quit your job, I’ll send you the ticket, come to me.”

According to the statement record, it was also noted that Arkan said he lived alone when he called and invited the young woman to come to him. These words were considered important elements evaluated by the prosecutor's office within the scope of qualified sexual harassment. At the end of her statement, the young woman clearly stated that she was a complainant. 

A STATEMENT FROM THE MUNICIPALITY

In a statement made by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the following expressions were included: "The judicial process regarding MUBRAŞ Chairman Levent Arkan, who was detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, is ongoing. Necessary information will be provided when the judicial process is clarified."
