A pedestrian trying to cross the D-100 highway in Bakırköy was hit by a car. The pedestrian, thrown onto the road by the impact, lost their life. Police launched an investigation into the accident.
A pedestrian trying to cross the Bakırköy D-100 highway died after being hit by a car. The accident occurred around 23:00 at the İncirli location on the Bakırköy D-100 highway. A car, whose license plate and driver are unknown, traveling towards Ankara hit a pedestrian trying to cross the road. The pedestrian was thrown onto the road due to the impact. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon reports from bystanders.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Police closed two lanes of the road to traffic, while transportation was provided in a controlled manner on a single lane. Medical teams determined that the pedestrian had died. After the crime scene investigation teams completed their work, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. Traffic returned to normal after the car involved in the accident was removed from the road by a tow truck.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
