The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change detected that sewage and food waste were being discharged into the sea during inspections on Kuleli Street in Üsküdar. The Ministry stated that the discharge of İSKİ, which is affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and is a Special Environmental Protection Area, caused pollution in the Sea of Marmara, and imposed an administrative fine of 1 million 337 thousand 354 TL on İSKİ. PENALTY FOR İSKİIn a statement made on the social media account of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the following expressions were included: "It has been determined by our Provincial Directorate teams that sewage and food waste from Kuleli Street in Üsküdar are being discharged into the sea, and it has been established that the discharge of İSKİ, which is affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, is causing pollution in the Sea of Marmara, which is a Special Environmental Protection Area. An administrative fine of 1 million 337 thousand 354 TL has been imposed on İSKİ in accordance with the relevant Environmental Law. We respectfully announce this to the public."
