In the Mudanya district of Bursa, during an accident where a car crashed into a lighting pole, Furkan Alan, who went to the scene to help, was electrocuted by a fallen high-voltage power line and died. The injured driver was taken to the hospital after the accident.

CAR HITS POLE
The car with license plate 16 AJF 701, driven by O.U. (29), crashed into a lighting pole after the driver lost control of the steering wheel in the Düzbağlar area of Çepni Neighborhood. The pole toppled from the impact, and a high-voltage line supplying power to the neighborhood fell to the ground.
ELECTROCUTED WHILE TRYING TO HELP
Furkan Alan (27), who witnessed the accident while passing by, parked his vehicle on the roadside and went to the scene to help. It was learned that Alan was electrocuted by the high-voltage line that had fallen to the ground while he was calling 112 Emergency Call Center on his cell phone.
Upon the report, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. O.U., injured in the accident, was taken to Mudanya State Hospital after initial medical intervention.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Alan's body, determined to have died at the scene during a check by health teams, was taken to the morgue of the same hospital. Authorities cut off the electric current in the area as a safety measure, while gendarmerie teams launched an investigation into the accident.
