A teacher who is accused of sexually abusing female students in the 4th grade at an elementary school located in the İnebolu district of Kastamonu has been arrested and sent to prison.
It was claimed that a classroom teacher at Mehmet Bülent Özyürük Primary School in the İnebolu district of Kastamonu sexually abused female students in the 4th grade. The scandal emerged when one of the victimized children told her family about the incident. The family immediately went to the prosecutor's office and filed a criminal complaint against the teacher.
CHILD DESCRIBED THE HORROR
After the criminal complaint, the girl, whose statement was taken in the presence of pedagogues, revealed that she had been abused multiple times by the teacher. The child stated that her teacher, who called her 'my love, my darling,' showed her sexual content photos and videos repeatedly. The child also mentioned that after the first physical harassment, her teacher warned her, "Don't tell this to your mother and father."
SECURITY CAMERA RECORDINGS WERE EXAMINED
As part of the investigation, the security cameras in the school were also examined. In the camera analysis report prepared by the police, it was noted that on February 4, 2025, and February 7, 2025, at 12:11 PM, the victimized child I.T. and the suspect teacher A.Ç. left the classroom together, and on February 20, 2025, the victimized child and suspect A.Ç. were alone in the classroom for more than half an hour, and then they were seen leaving the classroom together. It was recorded that the footage was also confirmed by the statements of the victimized child I.T., another victimized child R.S., and the suspect A.Ç.
ANOTHER VICTIMIZED CHILD ALSO DESCRIBED THE ABUSE
Another victimized child, R.S., who was called to give a statement as part of the investigation, stated that at an unspecified date, she saw victim I.T. and suspect teacher A.Ç. alone in the classroom, and that she and a friend watched the inside of the classroom through the keyhole, during which she saw victim I.T. sitting on suspect A.Ç.'s lap.
PROSECUTOR SENT THE EVIDENCE TO COURT
The prosecutor had strong suspicions that suspect A.Ç. committed the crimes of 'qualified sexual abuse' and 'simple sexual abuse' because he could not explain the reason for being alone with students in the classroom, the statements given by the victimized children on separate days were consistent, his statement was aimed at evading the crime, and the allegations were confirmed by witness statements and camera recordings. The prosecutor also requested the arrest of the suspect, stating that there might be uncollected evidence against him, and sent the case to the Magistrate's Court.
HE WAS ARRESTED
According to information obtained from sources in the Ministry of Justice, the suspect teacher A.Ç. was arrested by the Magistrate's Court to which he was sent and was sent to prison.
