Following the draw for 100,000 social housing units TOKİ will build in Istanbul, claims emerged that winners had 6-digit application numbers, while no one with a 7-digit application number received a unit. DMM categorically denied the claims in its statement.
The draw for 100 thousand houses to be built in Istanbul within the scope of the “Housing Project of the Century”, announced as one of the largest social housing initiatives in the history of the Republic, has been completed. Following the draws held between April 25-27, the rights holders were announced via e-Government on the evening of April 27. In the draw process, where a total of 1,072,660 people participated, 100 thousand people qualified to own a house.
"7-DIGIT NUMBER" CLAIM
After the draw results were announced, a striking claim emerged on social media. According to the claim, all winners of houses had a 6-digit application number, and it was alleged that no applicant with a 7-digit application number received a house. This situation was interpreted by some users as a systemic error and a problem in the draw process.
DMM DENIES CLAIMS UNEQUIVOCALLY
The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) made a written statement regarding the claims in question, firmly rejecting allegations of impropriety and error. The statement emphasized that the draw process was conducted in the presence of a notary public, in a computer environment closed to external interference and based entirely on random selection.
DMM used the following statements in its statement on the subject:
