A series of negligence cost her life! The 19-year-old girl passed away after a nose surgery.

A 19-year-old girl named Heval Pekgöz in Istanbul did not survive after going to the hospital to have a nose surgery. Pekgöz's heart stopped after anesthesia during the operation performed at a private hospital, and she lost the 20-day battle for her life. The girl's family filed a criminal complaint against the hospital and the responsible doctor.

Heval Pekgöz, a 2nd year student at Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy in Istanbul, went to a private hospital in Maltepe to have her nasal polyps removed and undergo a cosmetic surgery. Everything started to go wrong during the anesthesia stage and the young girl had a heart attack. It was learned that Pekgöz, who has been fighting for her life for 20 days, passed away.

HER HEART STOPPED AFTER ANESTHESIA

According to the news on NTV, the family of the young girl claimed that there was a chain of negligence in their daughter's death. Father Ferhat Pekgöz stated that after the anesthesia, they were told that their daughter's heart stopped but her condition was very good. He explained that they were first taken to a hospital in Kurtköy as a precaution, and then they were redirected to another branch because no 112 record was opened.

THEY VISITED HOSPITALS ONE AFTER ANOTHER IN A DAY

Father Pekgöz said that they had to change 3 hospitals in the same day and that their daughter lost her life due to negligence.

Mother Özlem Pekgöz also mentioned that she wanted to see her daughter in the intensive care unit but was not allowed, and that her eyes were open and she was not intubated while on the stretcher.

The Pekgöz family, who lost their daughter on August 30, filed a criminal complaint against the hospital and responsible doctors.
