Renowned artist Edip Akbayram, 74, who has been undergoing treatment for pneumonia for some time, was hospitalized due to internal bleeding he experienced at home.

His daughter Türkü Akbayram, son Ozan, and wife Ayten Akbayram previously stated about the artist's health condition: "Edip Akbayram had been discharged from the hospital after pneumonia. This morning, we brought him to Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital due to internal bleeding related to different complications. He has been placed in intensive care as a precaution. His treatment is ongoing."

Turkü Akbayram, who made a statement about her father's health condition, said: "My father had been receiving treatment for pneumonia for a while. He had just been discharged from the hospital, but he experienced internal bleeding due to different complications. He has been admitted to intensive care and has been intubated."
