Cengiz İmren took the stage at a venue in Istanbul the night before last, reuniting with his fans after a long break. In statements made to the press before the performance, the artist expressed that he draws inspiration from Müslüm Gürses, Ferdi Tayfur, Orhan Gencebay, Ahmet Kaya, and İbrahim Tatlıses, while also expressing his disappointment towards some of his colleagues for not improving themselves.
One of the beloved names of Arabesque music, Cengiz İmren, reunited with his fans on the Yeni Gazino stage after a long break. The artist, who opened a new chapter in his career, met with members of the press before the performance and made striking statements. İmren said, "This is my first stage here. I want to send a message to everyone from here: Cengiz İmren is back. Actually, I never left, I just distanced myself, I didn't want to be seen. This time I came to stay," he stated.

Cengiz İmren, who stated that he wrote many new songs during the two-year period, made striking evaluations about the music industry. İmren said that artists who make music in his style have not shown any development, using the following expressions: "No one making music in my style has a chance. None of the artists I have known for 20 years have developed themselves. They are the same now as they were 20 years ago, both in voice and appearance. I realized that they couldn't do it. I thought it would be best for me to return. They should see how a song is sung."

İmren, who also shared the reason for his return to the stage, listed the names he was inspired by when he stepped into music: "When I came here from the Netherlands years ago, I had five master artists in mind: Müslüm Gürses, Ferdi Tayfur, Orhan Gencebay, Ahmet Kaya, İbrahim Tatlıses. I came to be the sixth. I always stood by the throne, but they never let me sit on it. Honestly, I wasn't even curious. I am a well-equipped man. The new songs I will release will be an answer to those who say, 'I sing songs.'
