During the inauguration ceremony of Turkey's first domestic and national communication satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A, a model of the satellite was presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It was observed that the officials had difficulty carrying the model.
President Erdoğan delivered important messages at the "TÜRKSAT 6A Commissioning" ceremony held at the TÜRKSAT Gölbaşı Campus.
President Erdoğan stated, "All processes have been completed smoothly and without any issues. May TÜRKSAT 6A be beneficial for our nation and country. Our new communication satellite will provide extensive coverage, especially for television broadcasting and emergency communication."
"WE BECAME ONE OF 11 COUNTRIES"
Stating that "we see this reality" when looking at developments in the world, Erdoğan said, "A historic opportunity window is opening for Turkey. The number of our satellites in space has increased to 10. Turkey has risen to the position of being one of the 11 countries that can produce its own communication satellite. We said to those who said we couldn't do it, we can do it, and we can even do it better."
Recalling that the first domestic and national communication satellite, Türksat 6A, was launched into space on July 9, 2023, and that the first test broadcast was conducted on February 17, Erdoğan said, "I wish Türksat 6A to be beneficial for our country and nation."
A MODEL WAS GIFTED TO ERDOĞAN
After his speech, a model of the first domestic and national communication satellite TÜRKSAT 6A was presented to President Erdoğan. It was observed that the staff struggled to carry the model while Erdoğan accepted the meaningful gift.
