A suspect of Indian nationality, wanted by Indian authorities with a red notice for drug trafficking, was detained in an operation in Istanbul.
Salim Dola (61), wanted with a red notice for 'drug trafficking' in India, was caught in an operation in Beylikdüzü.
WANTED WITH RED NOTICE
By the Istanbul Police Department Narcotics Crimes Branch Directorate, in coordination with the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), efforts were conducted to apprehend S.D. (61), an Indian national wanted internationally with a red notice issued by Indian authorities for the crime of 'drug trafficking'.
CAUGHT IN ISTANBUL
Within the scope of the operations, the suspect, whose address information was identified, was taken into custody during an operation at his residence in Beylikdüzü.
Investigations into the suspect revealed that during interrogations of individuals caught in operations in the Kurla region of Mumbai, India, statements indicated they received instructions from this individual. It was learned that 126 kilograms and 141 grams of synthetic stimulants and 2 million 522 thousand Indian rupees were seized in the operations.
The suspect will be transferred to the Repatriation Center after police procedures.
