In the dispute over a seat at Maltepe Marmaray, the suspect who punched a 46-year-old passenger, breaking his nose in front of his two children, was arrested for 'intentional injury.' The other suspect, seen in the footage wearing a blue shirt, was released by the judicial authorities.

D.E. (46), who boarded the Marmaray with her two children in Maltepe, reacted to a woman waiting at the door. As other passengers joined in, the argument escalated into a fight, resulting in D.E.'s nose being broken, and those moments were recorded by a passenger's mobile phone camera. Following the incident, the police took action and apprehended E.D. (50), who assaulted D.E., along with I.A. (22), who later became involved in the incident. The suspect E.D. was arrested.

The incident occurred yesterday around 16:45 at the Marmaray Süreyyapaşa Station. According to the information obtained, a dispute arose between D.E., who was traveling with her two children, and a female passenger over giving up a seat. During the argument, E.D. (50), who was on the train, assaulted D.E. The altercation escalated with the involvement of I.A., who joined the fight later. As the train approached the station, the parties involved got off and continued the argument there. The frightened children were calmed down by the female passengers at the station. Those moments were recorded by a passenger's mobile phone camera.

SUSPECTS OF ASSAULT CAPTURED

Upon receiving the notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. D.E., who was assaulted during the fight, was taken to the hospital, where it was determined that she had a broken nose. Following D.E.'s complaint, I.A. was apprehended at the scene, while E.D. was later captured as a result of the ongoing efforts. Of the two suspects taken into custody, I.A. was released by judicial authorities after processing. E.D. was referred to the courthouse for the crime of 'intentional injury.' E.D. was arrested.
