Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had made a statement regarding the allegations related to the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress investigation. Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "Let everyone know that we are capable of drowning the enemies of this party in the harem-i ismet of this party."
ÖZEL RESPONDS TO KILIÇDAROĞLU'S WORDS
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel responded to Kılıçdaroğlu's remarks about the congress allegations. Speaking to T24, Özel said, "I have nothing to say here. The situation of the Republican People's Party, its achievement was shown on TRT screens on the evening of March 31. The first party after 47 years. I had said I have a surprise. We became the first party after 47 years. All the current polls show it, the squares show it," he said.

Özel, who said, "The party has united and come together under the greatest attack in history," added, "Delegates whose dignity and personality have been played with have gathered and, with the highest vote rate in history, have supported the general chairman list without breaking it for the first time in history. On the night of March 31, TRT announced the first party, the polls show the current situation, the delegates spoke, the squares speak, I have no words here," he stated.
Özel also made evaluations regarding the lawsuit related to the CHP Congress on June 30, saying, "I do not expect anything within the framework of the law. Because there is nothing there except for the slanders of a few lunatics, and the MASAK report came out clean. There is nothing in the MASAK report to support the allegations. There is nothing within the framework of the law, but I see this case as a process-oriented case, not a result-oriented one. The biggest gain is to discuss the party. Therefore, we must be smart and not let the party be discussed."

Threats, slanders, and dirty campaigns have come together. We are facing a wide front ranging from fake social media accounts to funded so-called academics, and some journalists who have sullied their professions with slander and manipulation. And unfortunately, some politicians who once stood by me for their political fortunes, who once considered walking with me a pride, have now joined this chorus. They are all asking me to speak on a matter I have no knowledge of and in which I have no involvement. However, we must walk without deviating from the true agenda of this nation. We must lean towards the public, not the personal; towards the truth, not gossip. I am a politician who speaks to the people, not a polemicist. And everyone who knows me knows: If there is a reality, I will never hesitate to express it with a firm stance, without bending or twisting it.
To those who threaten to hang me on poles, to those who threaten to shoot me, to those who threaten to burn me, to those who threaten to stone me, and to those who will not let me take a step, I say: Those who fear you are cowardly. I openly address everyone waiting for a message from me: Let everyone know that we are capable of drowning the enemies of this party in the harem-i ismet of this party.
Kılıçdaroğlu, in a special statement to TGRT Ankara Representative Fatih Atik, explained what he meant by the sentence, "We are capable of drowning the enemies of this party in the harem-i ismet of this party": "What is meant by this sentence is this: Whether inside or outside the party; whoever it may be, those who want to damage the party, tarnish its reputation, and target it with dark campaigns will be fought against within the ethics, history, values, and principles of the party (that is, within the harem-i ismet). In other words, it will be confronted not with the rotten methods used by the enemies, but within the clean, honorable, and principled structure of the party. At the same time, this expression is a warning and declaration of determination against the decay within the party itself. Whoever thinks they are untouchable from within or outside the party will drown in the 'spotlessness' of the party."
