It was determined that a fire that broke out in a forested area in the Edremit district of Balıkesir started as a result of sparks from 22-year-old Y.Ç., who was trying to light a fire, spreading to the surroundings. The suspect, caught in a short time by a special team formed by the gendarmerie, was arrested by the court he was brought to after his procedures.

It was determined that the forest fire that broke out on August 13 in the Edremit district of Balıkesir started due to sparks that flew while trying to start a fire. The gendarmerie, which set up a special team to investigate the cause of the fire, quickly caught and detained Y.Ç., 22. The suspect was arrested by the court he was brought to.

CAUSE OF THE FIRE DETERMINED 

According to the information obtained, the fire broke out in the forested area in the Kadıköy neighborhood of Edremit. Following the fire, a special team was formed within the Edremit District Gendarmerie Command to determine the cause of the incident and identify those responsible.

As a result of the technical and field studies carried out by the gendarmerie teams, it was determined that the fire started when sparks from the suspect Y.Ç. (22), who was trying to start a fire with a mechanism made of stones, jumped into the forested area.

GENDARMERIE CAUGHT HIM IN A SHORT TIME 

After determining the cause of the fire, the teams detained Y.Ç. After his procedures at the gendarmerie were completed, the suspect was referred to judicial authorities.

Y.Ç. was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
