A 61-year-old person, who had been receiving treatment for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) since August 6 in the Eflani district of Karabük, has died. It has been learned that this death is the first case recorded in the city due to CCHF since 2019.
A tick attached itself to N.B., 51, living in the Osmanlar village of the Eflani district of Karabük, on August 6.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS
After becoming ill a short time later, N.B. applied to the Emergency Service of Karabük Training and Research Hospital and explained his situation to the health teams. The man, who was taken into intensive care treatment with suspicion of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), could not be saved despite all interventions.
BURIED IN THE GROUND
N.B.'s body was brought to Eflani Central Bazaar Mosque. After the funeral prayer performed following the afternoon prayer, N.B.'s body was buried in the Akbaş Neighborhood Cemetery of Osmanlar village.
FIRST DEATH IN 7 YEARS
It was learned that the first death due to CCHF in Karabük occurred after 2019.
