In the accident that took place around 10:00 AM at the Çatalca location of the Northern Marmara Highway, the luxury vehicle lost control after the driver lost steering control and crashed into the barriers at the petrol station junction.

While İsmail Özhan Özmen, a member of the Executive Board of Kalyon Holding, was seriously injured in the vehicle, his driver Emre Yıldızcan lost his life. Özmen was taken to the hospital, while the damaged vehicle was towed to the parking lot with the help of a tow truck.
