Footage has emerged showing the moment 24-year-old Selin Başak Schlosser, whose lifeless body was found in a hotel in Istanbul where she came for a holiday from Germany, entered a grocery store and asked for help, saying she was being followed.
A 24-year-old woman who came from Germany to Istanbul for a holiday was found dead in her hotel in Fatih. Five people were detained in connection with the incident, while the last moments of the woman entering a shop asking for help were captured on camera.
FOUND DEAD IN THE HOTEL
The incident occurred on April 23 at a hotel in Fatih Muhsine Hatun Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Selin Başak Schlosser (24) arrived in Istanbul from Germany on April 20 for a holiday. After her family could not be reached for a while from the young woman staying at a hotel in Fatih, hotel staff reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, police and medical teams arriving at the scene found the young woman motionless in her hotel room.
5 SUSPECTS RELEASED
Medical teams determined during their check that Schlosser had lost her life. Following the examination at the scene, Schlosser's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death. According to the report prepared by the Forensic Medicine Institute, no signs of beating, force, or sharp weapon were found on Schlosser's body. Expanding their investigation into the incident, police teams detained 5 suspects. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse and released following their statements.
