A tragedy occurred when a fruit-laden truck rear-ended a car and fell from a viaduct in Gaziantep's Nurdağı district. It was learned that 3 people, including the truck driver, were taken to the hospital and lost their lives in the accident, while 3 others were seriously injured. Long vehicle queues formed due to the accident on the TAG Highway.
A terrible accident occurred on the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Motorway in the evening hours. A fruit-laden truck driven by Ismail G. (23) rear-ended a car driven by A.C. (43). The swerving truck fell off the viaduct.
3 PEOPLE KILLED, 3 INJURED
Upon notification from those who witnessed the accident, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Ahmet B. (64) and Mehmet G. (37), who were extracted from the truck by fire brigade teams and treated by medical teams, were determined to have lost their lives. The injured Ismail G., G.B. (60), A.C., and R.D. (31) were taken by ambulance to Nurdağı State Hospital.
Truck driver Ismail G. also died in the hospital where he was being treated. The number of fatalities in the accident rose to 3, while it was learned that the treatment of the injured continues.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Following the investigation at the accident scene, the bodies of Ahmet B. and Mehmet G. were taken to the morgue of the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute. Long vehicle queues formed due to the accident. An investigation has been launched into the accident.
