According to the police report, the accident occurred around 08:15 on Monday morning near the intersection of West 29th Street and Eighth Avenue. The 62-year-old truck driver lost control, causing the scaffold he hit to collapse.

One of the three injured due to the collapsed scaffold was taken to Bellevue Hospital. It was reported that the condition of the hospitalized individual is serious, while the other two injured sustained minor scratches and are in good condition.

No legal action has been initiated against the driver who remained at the scene after the accident. The New York Fire Department (FDNY) announced that the safety of surrounding buildings was checked and there were no stability issues.
