Hüseyin Fırat, a 29-year-old truck driver who was injured by an Israeli missile that hit his vehicle in Iran, lost his battle for life 6 days later in the hospital where he was being treated.
Hussein Firat, a truck driver from Hatay, began his return to Turkey after delivering a load he picked up in Istanbul to Afghanistan. On March 5, while entering Iran with 15 Turkish trucks, including his father Coşkun Firat, Hussein Firat's vehicle was hit by a missile fired from Israel.
HE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
While passing through Qazvin province and heading towards the city of Zanjan, the truck driven by Hussein Firat caught fire after being attacked. Hussein Firat, who was rescued from the truck with injuries, was treated at Zanjan Hospital. Other Turkish drivers escaped the attack without injury.
HE PASSED AWAY TODAY
Hussein Firat, who was being treated in intensive care, passed away today. His funeral is expected to be brought to his hometown of Reyhanlı.
“HE SAID 'LET THE TREATMENT BE DONE IN TURKEY'”
Mother Hayriye Firat, who was greatly concerned about her child's health condition, said, "My son was hit by a missile in the city of Tabriz, Iran, while returning from Afghanistan, and he is currently being treated at Zanjan Hospital. His health condition is critical, and he needs surgery. However, I do not want him to have surgery in Iran; I want his treatment to be done in Turkey."
