TRAITOROUS ATTACK ON TUSAŞ
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and President of the Defense Industry Haluk Görgün conducted investigations at the campus following the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ). Later, Yerlikaya made statements to the press, stating that the attack occurred at 15:26 and that gendarmerie and police units immediately arrived at the scene.
Yerlikaya stated, "Two terrorists, one female and one male, have been neutralized. Unfortunately, we have 5 martyrs and 22 injured. The condition of 3 of our injured is serious." Emphasizing that he condemns terrorism, Yerlikaya extended his condolences to the Turkish people and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
"Identity determination studies are ongoing. As soon as their identities are confirmed, we will share with you which terrorist organization is involved," Yerlikaya continued:
"I would like to convey my best wishes to TUSAŞ. I would like to extend my best wishes to our entire esteemed nation. From the very first moment, we informed our President about the operation here and the process until these individuals were neutralized. We feel a great sadness. Whoever is plotting against our national unity, solidarity, and brotherhood, whether it is a terrorist organization, an organized crime group, or urban bandits, we are determined to cut off their breath with unwavering resolve and determination. Our brotherhood, unity, and solidarity; the will and strength of our state and nation will always prevail. Let none of us have any doubt about this."
MINISTER YERLİKAYA POINTED TO PKK
Minister Yerlikaya recalled that 2 terrorists, one female, were captured dead, stating, "Identity studies and fingerprint identification processes are ongoing. As soon as these are confirmed, we will provide information about their identities and which terrorist organization is responsible. From the beginning, our assessment is that the style of this act and the images we have observed are likely related to the PKK. We will share this information again as the identity determinations and other evidence become clear. We condemn the despicable terrorist organization. We state at every opportunity that terrorism is a crime against humanity. I want to express that we are determined to cut off the breath of terrorism and neutralize the last of them. Our condolences to Ankara and our esteemed nation. May the place of our martyrs be paradise," he stated.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED REGARDING THE ATTACK
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç provided the following information in a statement on his social media account: "I strongly condemn and denounce the terrorist attack carried out on the Turkish Aerospace Industries facilities located in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara. An official investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the treacherous terrorist attack, and 1 chief public prosecutor and 8 public prosecutors have been assigned. I wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and a speedy recovery to our injured."
