On Thursday evening, a minibus carrying PAOK fans from Greece to support their team in the UEFA Europa League match against Olympique Lyon crashed into a truck coming from the opposite direction in Romania. In the horrific accident, 7 of the 10 people in the vehicle lost their lives, and 3 were injured, as captured by the interior security camera of another vehicle.

In the UEFA Europa League match to be played on Thursday evening between PAOK, a team from the Greek Super League, and Olympique Lyon, a team from France's Ligue 1, a vehicle carrying Greek fans traveling to France had an accident in Romania.

7 DEAD, 3 INJURED

According to a report by Greek State Television ERT, the minibus carrying PAOK fans collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction while overtaking on the DN6-E70 highway near the city of Lugojelul. Of the 10 people in the vehicle, 7 lost their lives, and 3 injured individuals were taken to hospitals in the area for treatment.

CONDOLENCES FROM MITSOTAKIS

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his sorrow over the accident in a statement, noting that the Greek government and fire department are cooperating with local authorities in Romania. Mitsotakis extended his condolences to the families of the deceased and the PAOK family.
