At least 2 people died and 8 others were injured, 2 of them seriously, after a vehicle drove into a crowd on a pedestrian walkway in a city center in Germany. Armin Schuster, the Interior Minister of the German state of Saxony, stated that the incident was not an accident but an 'attack'.
It has been reported that a vehicle struck pedestrians in the German city of Leipzig, resulting in 2 deaths and 8 injuries.
2 PEOPLE KILLED, 8 INJURED
Leipzig Mayor Burkhard Jung stated in a press release that 2 people died in the incident and noted that the driver of the vehicle was apprehended. Local media, citing eyewitnesses, reported that 2 people were killed and 8 were injured.
It was reported that some of the injured are in serious condition, and numerous helicopters and ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
