A woman missing for 6 years is appearing in dreams: I am not dead, why aren't you looking for me?

26.10.2024 14:32

In 2018, Perihan Getmez left her home to go to the hospital in Giresun, and she has not been heard from since. Her stepdaughter, who is searching for any trace of Getmez, stated, "She has been appearing in my dreams lately, saying, 'I am not dead, why aren't you looking for me?'"

The fate of Perihan Getmez, a mother of three who went missing in 2018 in the Bulancak district of Giresun, remains uncertain. Getmez left her home to go to the hospital and has not returned since that day. Her family reported her missing to the police, but no trace of her has been found for 6 years.

Özge Bodur, the stepdaughter of 60-year-old Perihan Getmez, said, "My stepmother was my father's second wife. She raised me for years. After my father passed away, she married an elderly and disabled man. In 2018, she left home to go to the hospital and never came back. The report made to the police yielded no results."

"SHE COMES INTO MY DREAMS SAYING 'I'M NOT DEAD'"

Bodur stated that Perihan Getmez was someone who could not stop going to the hospital, saying, "She had a congenital illness and could not stay away from the hospital. The lack of any hospital record since the missing report makes the situation even more suspicious. Her husband also passed away after a while. Although I wanted to search during that time, I could not do it because I had small children. Recently, she has been coming into my dreams, saying 'I'm not dead, why aren't you looking for me?' In the last dream I had, she turned her back and left."

"HER BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO INVESTIGATE"

Kumral Bodur expressed that they have struggled to search for Perihan Getmez after her husband's death. Bodur said, "There is no one other than her to care about the disappearance of my husband's stepmother, Perihan Getmez. No steps have been taken beyond the missing report until today. Her children are also not in a position to investigate this situation. The lack of any information regarding the fate of my missing stepmother is an extraordinary situation. We hope to hear from her as soon as possible."
