A 30-year-old Siriati was brutally killed by a 9-meter python while walking in the Indonesian forest. Her husband, Adiansya, found the snake trying to swallow Siriati from her head and killed the snake to save her, but Siriati was already dead. Siriati, a mother of five, was going to the market to meet her sister. Her husband became worried when he learned that she hadn't arrived and went out to search for her, finding her in the snake's mouth. Villagers called for help and Siriati's body was brought home and buried in the Siteba village the next morning. The Walenrang Police Chief said Siriati's body was found intact, but her bones may have been crushed. There was also a suspected snake bite wound on the victim's leg. A similar incident occurred last month when a 50-year-old Farida was swallowed by a python in the Kalempang village. Farida had gone missing while going to the market and was found two days later in the stomach of a giant python. Indonesia is an archipelago where snakes can grow uncontrollably and reach sizes that can swallow humans.
