According to reports, the woman arrived at the airport to travel with her dog. However, it was stated that the necessary documents for the dog to fly as a service animal were missing. Following this, it was reported that the woman left the terminal by tying her dog to the JetBlue Airways ticket counter.

POLICE CAUGHT HER AT THE EXIT DOOR

Upon being notified of the situation, police teams took action and caught the woman at one of the exit doors of the airport. Authorities stated that the woman resisted during her detention and claimed that the dog had a tracking device and that she planned to return.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department made the following statement on their social media account:

"We can't believe we have to say this, but please do not leave your dog at the airport or anywhere else."

THE DOG WAS TAKEN INTO PROTECTION

The abandoned dog was taken to a safe area by airport staff. After the legal waiting period, it was reported that the animal was handed over to a local rescue organization.
