Bahar Durmaz, a 52-year-old woman, lost her life after being hit by a maneuvering truck while she was outside to throw away trash at a mine site in the Söke district of Aydın. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
A woman who went outside to throw away trash at a mining site in Aydın's Söke district was killed after being run over by a maneuvering truck.
STRUCK BY A TRUCK WHILE DISPOSING OF TRASH
The incident occurred at a mining site located in the Yenikent neighborhood of Söke. According to the information obtained, 52-year-old Bahar Durmaz, who was working as a cook and tea server at the site, stepped outside the work area to dispose of trash. At that moment, Durmaz, who was in the driver's blind spot, was struck by a truck carrying sand that was maneuvering.
SHE LOST HER LIFE
Upon notification by the workers who noticed the accident, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. An examination by the medical teams revealed that the unfortunate woman had died at the scene. After the initial investigations at the site, Durmaz's body was taken to the hospital morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
After the accident, the truck driver A.K. was taken into custody, and it was learned that a judicial and administrative investigation into the incident is ongoing.
