In Kartal, a dispute over parking turned into a fight among neighbors living in the same building. Gülerdem T., who suffers from asthma, was assaulted by her neighbors in her car and threatened with death. The incident was captured on a mobile phone and security camera.
The incident occurred on February 9, 2025, in the afternoon in the Karlıktepe neighborhood of Kartal. According to allegations, a dispute arose over parking between Gülerdem T. and her neighbors Nazire D. (48), Mustafa D., and his wife Nurdan D. After months of ongoing disputes, Gülerdem T., who was assaulted, filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office on December 13, 2024, requesting a restraining order. While the investigation was ongoing, on the day of the incident, Gülerdem T. parked her car in front of the building. At that moment, a new argument broke out between Gülerdem T. and her neighbors Mustafa D., his wife Nurdan D., and Mustafa D.'s mother Nazire D.
ATTACK ON ASTHMATIC WOMAN CAPTURED ON CAMERA
Nurdan D. opened the woman's car door and insulted and threatened her by saying, 'I will kill you.' She then attacked Gülerdem T., pulling her hair and starting to punch her body. Mustafa D. and Nazire D. also beat Gülerdem T. with kicks and punches. Due to her asthma, Gülerdem T. struggled to breathe and was on the verge of death, prompting nearby citizens to intervene. The incident was captured on mobile phone and security camera. The attacking neighbors were released. Following the incident, three neighbors were detained based on the complaint of the woman who received a medical report for the assault. Nazire D. and Mustafa D., who faced legal action for 'intentional injury', 'threat', and 'insult', were released by the police with a prosecutor's decision, while Nurdan D. was released under judicial control by the court.
"THEY RAN AWAY THINKING I WAS DEAD"
Gülerdem T. stated, "I wanted to warn them through the manager because there were very loud noises in their house. After that, I think they became obsessed with me. Last year, they threatened to kill me in front of the police. I had withdrawn my complaint. I take care of my mother. I constantly take her to the hospital. Every time her son came, he would park in a way that blocked my car's exit, even though there was space in the parking lot. He parked for 7 hours. I politely asked him to move. He said, 'You will call me every time.' They are in such bullying. They prevented me from taking my mother to the hospital. On the day of the incident, they followed me. When I got home and parked my car, they parked next to me. They attacked me inside my car. They choked me. They jumped on me. No one heard my cries for help. Because I have asthma, I fainted. Thinking I was dead or unconscious, they got into their cars and fled. Who will protect me? I walked around the house with a mask so my mother wouldn't see the bruises on my neck."
