Aslan İdikurt, who worked at a locomotive maintenance workshop in Malatya, lost his life when he was caught between two train cars during a reverse maneuver. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
Aslan İdikurt (55), who worked at the Malatya locomotive maintenance workshop, lost his life when he got stuck between two train cars during a reverse maneuver in the field. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM yesterday at the Malatya Train Station in the Yeşilyurt district. Aslan İdikurt, working at the locomotive maintenance workshop, was crushed between two train cars during the reverse maneuver. Upon notification of the situation by İdikurt's colleagues, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
Injured İdikurt was taken by ambulance to Malatya Training and Research Hospital after initial intervention. Aslan İdikurt, a father of three, who was receiving treatment, could not be saved despite all efforts by doctors. After procedures at the Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue, Aslan İdikurt was sent to his hometown of Baskil district in Elazığ and laid to rest.
The investigation launched into the incident continues.
