The UAE will achieve a world first by transferring 50% of its public services to autonomous artificial intelligence within two years. With the new system, AI will play an active role from data analysis to decision-making processes. This transformation aims to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve 'zero bureaucracy,' while public employees will undergo comprehensive training in the field of artificial intelligence.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is launching a revolutionary transformation in public administration. By order of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, 50 percent of government services will be transferred to autonomous artificial intelligence systems within the next two years.

The decision was announced by the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The statement emphasized that with this transformation, artificial intelligence will take a direct role in public administration.

“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL BE THE GOVERNMENT’S PARTNER”

With the new system, “agent artificial intelligence” models will be implemented. These systems will be able to analyze data, offer recommendations, and execute specific decisions without human intervention.

Sheikh Mohammed stated that artificial intelligence will no longer be just a tool, but an “executive partner” for the government, thereby increasing efficiency and accelerating services.

MANAGERS WILL BE EVALUATED BASED ON AI ADAPTATION

During the transformation process, ministers and senior managers will be evaluated based on their ability to adapt to artificial intelligence. It was announced that all federal employees will receive training in the field of artificial intelligence.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan will oversee the implementation of the project, while a special team led by Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Al Gergawi will manage the process.

THE PINNACLE OF A 20-YEAR DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

The UAE’s move builds on digital infrastructure investments such as e-Government applications, mobile government systems, and UAE Pass. The country had previously taken pioneering steps by establishing a Ministry of Artificial Intelligence.

“ZERO BUREAUCRACY” GOAL

With the new model, plans include simplifying procedures in public services and adopting a “zero bureaucracy” approach. The aim is to reduce costs, improve service quality, and create faster decision-making processes.
