A young man lost his life after getting trapped in the elevator of a pedestrian overpass in the Yunusemre district of Manisa.
HE WAS A FATHER OF 2 CHILDREN
The incident occurred around 16:30 on the Hüseyin Genç Pedestrian Overpass on Mimar Sinan Street. Seymen Görciz, 24, married and a father of two, was trapped between the elevator and its outer casing while trying to board the elevator on the overpass.
EXTRACTED AFTER LONG EFFORTS
Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center by witnesses, ambulance, fire brigade, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After lengthy efforts by firefighters, the young man's lifeless body was removed from where it was trapped and handed over to medical teams.
The unfortunate man's body was taken to the morgue of Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
