THEY SUDDENLY STARTED ARGUING The incident occurred in the evening hours on Nursultan Nazarbayev Street in the 2000 Bin Evler Neighborhood. After N.Ö. became ill due to a rise in blood pressure at home, the 112 Emergency Call Center was notified. While healthcare personnel who arrived at the home upon the report were intervening, a dispute broke out between N.Ö.'s children, siblings E.Ö. and Y.Ö.
THEY LOCKED HEALTHCARE WORKERS ON THE BALCONY AND ATTACKED EACH OTHER The healthcare team that came to the address with an ambulance experienced difficult moments as the argument between siblings E.Ö. and Y.Ö. quickly turned into a fight. During the knife fight, the healthcare workers were locked on the balcony by the siblings and remained trapped there for a while. The captive healthcare workers requested help from the police.
THEY WERE RESCUED THROUGH POLICE INTERVENTION With the intervention of police who arrived at the scene, the healthcare workers were removed from the home where they were held captive, while E.Ö. and his sibling Y.Ö. were taken into custody. Relatives of the suspects attempted to attack journalists trying to capture images as they were being taken out of the hospital for medical check-ups. It was learned that some of the healthcare teams and journalists on site filed complaints after the scuffle. The investigation into the incident continues.
