ENTERED THE STREAM TO COOL OFF
The incident occurred around 19:00 in the rural Dağyenice Neighborhood. İbrahim Karabaş, who had completed the electrical work of a construction site in Izmir, was on his way back with his foreman and friend. The group, taking a break on the road, entered the stream known as 'Kocadere' to cool off. After a while, his foreman and friend noticed Karabaş struggling in the water and took action to save the young boy. Realizing they could not pull Karabaş out of the water with their own means, the foreman and his friend reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
HIS LIFELESS BODY WAS REACHED AFTER 2 HOURS OF WORK
Upon the report, health, gendarmerie, AFAD, fire brigade, and Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) teams were dispatched to the area. After approximately 2 hours of work by underwater search and rescue teams, Karabaş's lifeless body was reached. Karabaş's body, removed from the stream, was taken to the morgue of the Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital Forensic Medicine Institute after the examination by the duty prosecutor and teams.
HIS FAMILY HAD NERVOUS CRISES
Karabaş's family and relatives, who received the sad news and came to the scene, burst into tears and had nervous crises. After the incident, the 2 people who were with Karabaş were taken to the gendarmerie station to give their statements. The investigation continues.
