Eighteen-year-old Halil Burak Şen went missing by the pond in the Yunusemre district of Manisa. Search efforts were initiated on land and in the water following a report from a friend.
Search operations were initiated on land and in water for 18-year-old Halil Burak Şen, who went missing by the pond in the Yunusemre district of Manisa. The incident occurred in the Bağyolu Pond area of the Yuntdağı region in Yunusemre district. Halil Burak Şen came to the pond with a friend in a car with the license plate 45 HK 965 to spend time. While the two friends spent the night in the area, Şen was reportedly found missing from the vehicle by his friend in the morning hours. Upon his friend's notification, gendarmerie, police, and health teams were dispatched to the area.
DIVER TEAMS ARE SEARCHING IN THE WATER
Following the possibility that Şen may have fallen into the pond, AFAD, police, and diver teams from the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) were directed to the area. While some of the teams continued scanning activities in the steep terrain around the pond, diver teams also continued their search efforts underwater. The operations were paused as the daylight faded. The work will resume this morning from where it left off. Yunusemre District Governor Celalettin Cantürk also came to the area to receive information about the operations. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
