The unforgettable name of the golden age of Yeşilçam cinema, Adile Naşit, is now coming to life on the big screen. The beloved and respected symbol of Turkish cinema will be portrayed by actress Meltem Kaplan.
The preparations for the film "Adile," which tells the life story of theater and cinema actress Adile Naşit, who passed away in 1987, are ongoing, and exciting details have emerged. According to the news by Birsen Altuntaş, the BKM signed film is planned to start shooting in May and will be directed by Çağan Irmak, the creator of unforgettable films. In the film, which has a story and screenplay by Nermin Yıldırım, Meltem Kaptan, who won the Silver Bear Award for Best Actor at the 2022 Berlin Film Festival, will portray Adile Naşit.
The film, which opens in 1974, will also feature famous names such as Ertem Eğilmez, Gazanfer Özcan, Gönül Ülkü, Münir Özkul, Muhsin Ertuğrul, Müjde Ar, Tarık Akan, Ayşen Gruda, Itır Esen, and Sevda Aktolga. It is said that great care has been taken in the casting process and that some actors have been replaced. According to initial information from the film, master actor Gazanfer Özcan will be portrayed by his grandson Tarık Ündüz, and Müjde Ar will be played by Seda Bakan.
Adile Naşit passed away at the age of 57 due to colon cancer. The adaptation of Naşit's life story, who became one of the most beloved faces of Turkish cinema with her sincerity, acting, and the characters she portrayed, has excited her fans.
