The approximately 5 billion worth of assets of the Adnan Oktar Armed Crime Organization have been seized. The seized assets include 17 villas, jewelry, and vehicles equipped with armor to protect the official vehicles used by state presidents.
The decision of the local court in the Adnan Oktar Armed Criminal Organization case has been upheld by the Court of Cassation. With the decision of the Court of Cassation 1st Criminal Chamber, a total of 8,658 years of imprisonment has been finalized for Oktar, the leader of the organization, for crimes such as sexual abuse, attempted murder, torture, obstruction of the right to education, deprivation of liberty, and unauthorized recording of personal data.
ATTENTION TO THE ARMOR DETAIL IN OFFICIAL VEHICLES
In the decision of the Court of Cassation, it was decided to seize the houses, cars, jewelry, foreign currency, and Turkish lira belonging to AOSSÖ, which were confiscated in the operation. It is estimated that the current market value of the organization's seized assets is approximately 5 billion Turkish lira. According to the information obtained by Gazete Duvar, 3 Range Rovers, 1 Mercedes S600, 1 Toyota Land Cruiser, and 1 Jaguar vehicle also passed to the Treasury. It was learned that these vehicles are equipped with armor used in official vehicles used by heads of state and are resistant to rocket attacks.
GUNFIRE DURING THE OPERATION
During the operation carried out on July 11, 2018, shots were fired at the security forces. In the operations carried out in the mansion known as Dragos and various safe houses of the organization, dozens of long-barreled weapons and pistols were found. The majority of the weapons, which are mostly Glock brand, as well as ammunition and auxiliary materials, also passed to the Treasury according to the decision of the Court of Cassation.
61 LUXURY CARS, 17 VILLAS
In addition to a large amount of Turkish lira and foreign currency seized in the organization's houses, jewelry, companies established for the organization's activities, and camera recording devices were also among the confiscated assets. 61 luxury cars used by the members and executives of the organization also passed to the Treasury. A decision was also made to seize a large number of villas belonging to the members and executives of the organization. A total of 17 villas located in the Beşiktaş, Kartal, Sarıyer, and Tuzla districts of Istanbul passed to the Treasury with the decision of the Court of Cassation 1st Criminal Chamber. According to the information obtained, the current value of AOSSÖ's assets seized by the Treasury is approximately 5 billion Turkish lira.
