In the investigation regarding the body of Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who went missing in Kırıkkale in 2014 and was found dismembered in a deep freezer in a house last year, 13 suspects have been arrested. In the investigation, where 17 suspects, including women, were detained, 1 person was released by the prosecutor's office, and 3 suspects were released under judicial control. Thus, 13 suspects were sent to prison in the investigation concerning the death of Okumuşoğlu, who had disappeared approximately 12 years ago.
A new development has occurred in the investigation regarding the discovery of the dismembered body of Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who went missing in Kırıkkale in 2014, found in a deep freezer last year. Of the 17 suspects detained in the operation, 13 were arrested, while a judicial control and release decision was issued for 4 suspects.
17 SUSPECTS WERE DETAINED
As a result of the evidence obtained and retrospective technical studies within the scope of the investigation into Okumuşoğlu's disappearance, the identities of 17 suspects were determined. Subsequently, simultaneous operations were carried out in Kırıkkale, Ankara, and Aydın on August 14.
All 17 suspects were caught and detained during the operations. After their procedures at the police department, the suspects were referred to the courthouse and gave statements to the prosecutor and judge.
13 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
Of the 17 suspects whose courthouse procedures were completed, A.M.T. was released after his statement to the prosecutor. The other 16 suspects were referred to the duty magistrate's court with a request for their arrest.
The magistrate decided to arrest suspects A.G., F.M.Ş., H.V., H.A., J.B., K.G., M.S., M.Y., N.G., N.G., S.V., S.O., and T.E.
The 13 arrested suspects were sent to prison.
3 SUSPECTS RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
Suspects H.Ş., N.Ş., and S.T. were released by the magistrate under judicial control conditions.
Thus, of the 17 suspects detained within the scope of the investigation, 13 were arrested, 3 were released under judicial control, and 1 was released after prosecutor's procedures.
BODY FOUND IN DEEP FREEZER IN 2025
The history of the incident dates back to May 16, 2025. During a search in a house in Kırıkkale, a dismembered male body placed in garbage bags was found in a refrigerator and a deep freezer.
Following examinations at the Forensic Medicine Institute, it was determined that the body belonged to Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who had gone missing in 2014 after traveling from Ankara to Kırıkkale and was 40 years old at the time.
A knife and a cleaver were also seized during the searches at the house, and the investigation into the death of Okumuşoğlu, who had disappeared approximately 12 years ago, was deepened. With the latest operation and arrests, a new phase has been reached in the case.
