Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, who has caused controversy with his statements regarding Israel, arrived in Turkey to attend the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Aliyev and his wife were welcomed at Antalya Airport by Governor Hulusi Şahin and other officials. However, it was notable that President Erdoğan did not go to greet him.

PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN DID NOT GO TO WELCOME
At Antalya Airport, President Ilham Aliyev and his wife, Mehriban Aliyeva, were welcomed by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin and other official authorities.
It was noteworthy that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan did not go to welcome them.
ISRAEL REMARKS CAUSED GREAT CONTROVERSY
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had made a controversial statement at the international forum titled "Towards a New World Order" held at ADA University.
Aliyev described Turkey as a brother and allied country, and Israel as a friendly country.
In his speech, he stated, "We are disturbed by the disagreements between these two countries. Azerbaijan acted as a mediator for the first agreement between Turkey and Israel. We played an active role in bringing the positions of the two countries closer during the first crisis period. These were done behind closed doors, and we did not announce it."
