Following the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the AHBAP Association, the protocol signed in the past between the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and the AHBAP Association has become a subject of debate again in the public eye. In response to the allegations on the agenda, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality issued a written statement.

In the statement made by the municipality, it was stated that the announcement was made to inform the public about the Joint Service Protocol signed with the AHBAP Association within the scope of the Science and Art Campus Project.

PROTOCOL SIGNED IN 2022

ABB reminded that the said protocol was unanimously approved by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipal Council's decision dated September 16, 2022, and numbered 1812, and entered into force on September 26, 2022.

"OBLIGATIONS WERE NOT FULFILLED"

In the statement, it was expressed that the works and transactions foreseen within the scope of the protocol were not carried out, and the AHBAP Association did not engage in any activity in the relevant area.

The municipality stated that despite numerous official notifications, the obligations were not fulfilled, and therefore announced that the protocol was unilaterally terminated by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in November 2025.

DOCUMENTS SHARED WITH THE PUBLIC

ABB announced that the official documents regarding the protocol were also shared in order to inform the public correctly. The statement noted that the documents related to the process were made accessible in line with the principle of transparency.
