An agreement has been reached between Hamas and Israel on a prisoner exchange deal that includes a ceasefire in Gaza, mediated by the USA, Egypt, and Qatar.
After the Israeli government approved the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, Israeli politics became almost chaotic.
SHOCK ACCUSATION FROM THE OPPOSITION TO NETANYAHU
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid made striking accusations against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in a statement. Lapid claimed that Netanyahu accepted the ceasefire out of fear of being arrested and of the elected President of the USA, Donald Trump.
Lapid stated, "Netanyahu is afraid of being arrested and of Trump. He accepted the ceasefire for this reason, not because he is considering Israel's interests."
RESIGNING MINISTER ALSO TARGETED NETANYAHU
Following Israel's acceptance of the ceasefire agreement, far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who decided to resign, also blamed Netanyahu.
Gvir said, "Netanyahu proposed the removal of the Chief of Staff and the establishment of new Jewish settlements in the West Bank for us to approve the ceasefire," adding, "But I will not compromise my beliefs."
