PTT announced that unauthorized access occurred from abroad in the HGS mobile application and that some users received notifications that were not relevant to them. Following the incident, security measures were implemented, and it was stated that there was no data loss.

The PTT General Directorate made a statement following notifications sent to users via the HGS mobile application. In the statement made by PTT, it was noted that, "In the evening hours, unauthorized access to our HGS mobile application’s messaging service occurred from abroad, and it has been determined that notifications unrelated to our company were sent to some users. Upon detection of the incident, our security systems were quickly activated, and necessary technical and operational measures were implemented."

In the statement made by PTT, it was stated that there was no data loss, saying, "During the unauthorized intervention in question, there was no data loss or any situation where user information fell into the hands of unauthorized persons. Additionally, a legal process has been initiated in cooperation with legal authorities. We respectfully announce this to the public."
