In Istanbul, an investigation was launched after it was determined that the criminal organization led by 'Aziz İhsan Aktaş' organized tender processes by bribing mayors and senior officials of municipalities, ensuring that the tenders were awarded to their own companies. Following this decision, a detention order was issued for 47 suspects, including Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat. After the decision, police teams were dispatched to the front of the Beşiktaş Municipality building. ARRESTED AT HIS SUMMER HOUSEIt was learned that Rıza Akpolat was detained by the gendarmerie at his summer house located in the Narlı neighborhood of Edremit District in Balıkesir. BARRICADES SET UP IN FRONT OF THE MUNICIPALITYAfter the detention order was issued, police teams were dispatched to the front of Beşiktaş Municipality. The area in front of the municipality was surrounded by barriers, and entrances and exits were controlled. Municipality personnel are entering by showing their ID cards.
