Following the announcement by the terrorist organization SDF that it has dissolved itself and integrated into Syrian state institutions, Republican People's Party Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a comprehensive assessment regarding the process. Delivering messages in Turkish, Kurdish, and Arabic through his social media account, Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized regional peace and highlighted the contributions the matter would make to Turkey's internal tranquility.
Following the announcement by terrorist organization leader Mazlum Abdi that the SDF has been dissolved, all eyes turned to reactions from the political world. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed as the Chairman of the CHP after the court's absolute nullity decision, stated that he welcomed the steps taken toward lasting peace in Syria, describing the process as a historic threshold for Turkey.
Kılıçdaroğlu noted that a Syria where the fundamental rights of Syrian Kurds are guaranteed and where all groups live on the basis of equal citizenship is beneficial for everyone, saying, "The developments toward the integration of the SDF's armed structures into the Syrian state are of great importance not only for Syria's future but also for the peace and security of our region."
"THE ADDRESS FOR THE SOLUTION MUST BE THE PARLIAMENT"
Also touching on the domestic political implications of the developments, the CHP leader emphasized that this new period must be urgently evaluated for Turkey to achieve its own internal peace. In his statement, Kılıçdaroğlu expressed his wish for the complete abandonment of arms and the strengthening of democracy, strongly reiterating that parliament is the address for resolving the issue: "These developments also present an important opportunity for Turkey. We must completely remove the Kurdish issue from the shadow of guns and conflict and solve it under the roof of democratic politics, law, and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey."
MESSAGE OF BROTHERHOOD IN THREE LANGUAGES
Arguing that the destiny of the Middle East should be determined not by the interest calculations of other countries but by the common will of the peoples living in that geography, Kılıçdaroğlu recalled the Middle East Peace and Cooperation Organization (MEPCO) project he had previously introduced. Advocating that a regional cooperation structure led by Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria is a historic necessity, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "We must not waste time. Turkey should not be a party to wars in the Middle East but a founding force for peace." Continuing his remarks with, "The common future of Turks, Kurds, and Arabs lies in peace," Kılıçdaroğlu concluded his post with the expressions "Long live the brotherhood of peoples! Bijî biratiya gelan!" in Turkish, Kurdish, and Arabic.
