The Ministry of Interior, under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Ali Çelik, held a meeting with Doruk Mining workers, who have been on strike for 9 days due to unpaid wages, and the employer. Following the meeting, the miners ended their strike. Independent Mine Workers Union General President Gökay Çakır said, 'The meeting was positive. Most of our colleagues' salaries have been paid. They asked us for a 15-day period. The ministries are the guarantors of this.'

MEETING HELD AT THE MINISTRY FOR STRIKING WORKERS In a statement from the ministry, it was stated, 'A meeting is being held between worker and employer parties to evaluate the ongoing actions of mine workers in Ankara. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Minister of Interior Ali Çelik, includes Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Faruk Özçelik, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Abdullah Tancan, General Director of Security Mahmut Demirtaş, Ankara Police Chief Engin Dinç, Deputy Governor of Ankara Gürsoy Osman Bilgin, Head of Security Department Emrullah Gölcük, Independent Mine-Union President Gökay Çakır, Union official Başaran Aksu, mine worker Sinan Koçak, mine worker Özcan Gültekin, and Doruk Mining Company owner Sabahattin Yıldız. The meeting, which started at 4:00 PM, continues with negotiations on a compromise to end the ongoing strike and actions.'
Meanwhile, Hürriyet columnist Ahmet Hakan stated that he spoke with Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi regarding the situation of Doruk Mining workers under Yıldızlar SSS Holding. ORDER OF 'SOFTENING' TOWARDS POLICE INTERVENTION Ahmet Hakan reported that he also asked Minister Çiftçi about police intervention and wrote that it was assessed that illegal marginal groups had infiltrated the protest area. He stated that Çiftçi gave the police the order to 'Separate the provocateurs but treat the workers with utmost care and tolerance as much as possible.'
MINISTER ÇİFTÇİ STEPPED IN Minister Mustafa Çiftçi also intervened regarding the payment of workers' receivables. It was reported that Çiftçi, who met with Sabahattin Yıldız, the owner of Yıldızlar SSS Holding, called for 'Pay the workers' receivables, end this protest' and received a positive response to this call.
REMAINING PAYMENT TO BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS It was reported that the company had previously paid 36 million liras of the workers' receivables, and the remaining amount was to be deposited into the workers' accounts as of this morning. While it was stated that the payment process is being closely monitored by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the protest is expected to end following this development.
