Iranian state media released footage of the ballistic missile attack on the King Faisal Air Base in Jordan. The footage shows moments when air defense systems in the region failed to intercept at least four missiles, causing violent explosions at the base.
After the escalating tension in the Middle East once again, hectic hours continue to unfold.
Iranian state media shared footage from last night showing the moment when King Faisal Air Base, one of the strategic military points within Jordan's borders, was targeted with ballistic missiles.
AT LEAST FOUR MISSILES DIRECTLY HIT
In the footage, it was clearly seen that the night darkness was illuminated by the fiery trails left behind by the missiles, and the successive impacts of the munitions caused very violent explosions in the military base area.
According to information obtained from Iranian sources, at least four of the launched ballistic missiles directly hit their targets at King Faisal Air Base.
AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS PROVED INSUFFICIENT
The most striking detail in the released footage was the helplessness of the air defense systems tasked with protecting the base and its surroundings. Iranian media claimed that the missiles fell directly into the heart of the base without being intercepted by any defensive shield.
USA AND JORDAN REMAIN SILENT
Following the attack on King Faisal Air Base, which is also used by US forces stationed in the region, no official statement has yet been made by the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) or the Jordanian side.
