In a statement from the club, it was stated that within the scope of the 2026-2027 season squad planning, a 2-year contract was signed with 30-year-old left-back Umut Meraş, who last played for Eyüpspor. Umut Meraş, drawing attention with his successful performance at Boluspor, where he started his professional career, transferred to Bursaspor in 2018. With his breakthrough in the green and white team, the national footballer caught the radar of European clubs and went to Le Havre, a French Ligue 2 team, in 2019, gaining significant overseas experience. After his consistent performance in France, Meraş returned to Turkey in 2021 with Beşiktaş, one of the Super League giants. Following three seasons and the cups he won with the black and white team, he signed with Eyüpspor, one of the ambitious Super League teams, in the summer transfer period of 2024, bringing a new breath to his career.
