AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will deliver a historic speech on August 14, marking the 25th anniversary of the party's founding, a speech that will go down in the history of the Republic. Çelik also made significant assessments regarding the "Terror-Free Türkiye" law, which was adopted with 467 votes in Parliament.
"WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SPEECHES IN THE HISTORY OF THE REPUBLIC"
At the press conference, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik touched upon the preparations for August 14 and invited all citizens to the anniversary events to be held at Ankara's National Garden. Noting that a magnificent visual spectacle would be prepared, Çelik drew attention to the importance of President Erdoğan's speech, stating, "Our President's speech will transcend a 25th-anniversary address and be one of the historic speeches in the history of the Republic. Within these 25 years, a political journey equivalent to nearly 250 years has been traversed."
THE 'TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE' LAW PASSED WITH 467 VOTES
Çelik also devoted considerable time in his statements to the Terror-Free Türkiye law adopted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly, emphasizing that yesterday was a historic day for political history. Stating that the 467 affirmative votes carry not only numerical but also profound political significance, Çelik underscored that if the process is successfully completed, it would also serve as a solution model for regional countries.
"NO SHADOW WILL BE CAST ON THE NATION'S VALUES"
Stating that they have carefully listened to the constructive criticisms made throughout the process and that these criticisms have greatly contributed to the roadmap, Çelik gave clear messages regarding the state's and the nation's red lines. Çelik assured the public by saying, "Not a single step has been taken, nor will it be taken, that could harm the qualities of our state or cast a shadow over the values of our nation."
"CLAIMS THAT PARLIAMENT WAS PUSHED BACK HAVE BEEN DISPROVEN"
Ömer Çelik also stated that the adoption of the law in Parliament with such a broad consensus (467 votes) once again demonstrated how baseless the arguments and criticisms were regarding the "Parliament being pushed back" under the Presidential Government System.
