The statement said that Turkey is going through one of the heaviest periods in its political history and that the NEW Party was born with the "nation's will for change" and as the "hope of Turkey."

In the deputies' statement, striking phrases about Özel's political struggle were used.
The statement argued that Özel did not step back despite the difficulties he faced and the pressures against him, including the following: "Our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, despite the pains he suffered, the persecution he endured, and the domination attempted to be established over him, neither bent an inch, nor took a step back, nor left any word unsaid."
The statement also referred to past criticisms directed at the party, noting that Özel continued on his path despite all difficulties.
"NOT LEADER DOMINATION, BUT COMMON WISDOM"
The NEW Party deputies argued that Özel's understanding of politics is outside old political habits.
The statement said that the democratic understanding is based on common wisdom instead of "leader domination," pluralism instead of monism, and consultation instead of imposition.
The deputies, stating that the vote in the Turkish Grand National Assembly was also a reflection of this understanding, emphasized that the voices of different segments of society should be heard.

The statement claimed that Özel has demonstrated leadership aimed at expanding the field of democratic politics and bringing different social segments together around a common future goal.

In the final part of the statement, the NEW Party Deputies Group clearly demonstrated its support for Chairman Özgür Özel.
The deputies, stating that they will continue to struggle under Özel's leadership, used the following words: "As the NEW Party Deputies Group, we demonstrate our complete unity and express once again with this text that we are firmly and arm in arm behind our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel."
