The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry updated the list of companies that adulterate and counterfeit food products. While 15 new products were added to the list, horsemeat was detected in sucuk and minced meat sold in Mersin and Bursa.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated its list of foods that endanger public health and involve adulteration and fraud, exposing 15 new products. The latest list, published on the website 'guvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr', reveals unimaginable deceptions in products such as sucuk, minced meat, tea, and salami.

6 PRODUCTS IN THE CATEGORY DIRECTLY ENDANGERING HEALTH

Companies that manipulate citizens' health continue to be transparently disclosed to the public by the Ministry. Details of the new products added to the categories "Foods that Endanger Health" and "Foods Subject to Adulteration and Fraud" in the system are nauseating. It was stated that 6 of the 15 newly added products directly threaten human health.

UNIMAGINABLE DECEPTIONS IN BEEF SUJUK AND MINCED MEAT

Laboratory inspections conducted by Ministry teams have revealed severe violations in red meat products. The striking findings in the report are listed as follows:

In a product marketed by a brand with a 100% "beef sujuk" label, it was found that skin tissue and poultry meat were used for unfair profit.

Raw beef mince sold by two different companies operating in the Yenişehir and Toroslar districts of Mersin contained meat from single-hoofed animals (horse, donkey, mule, etc.). Additionally, the same finding was observed in a product sold as "beef sujuk" by another company in the Erdemli district.

In a product placed on shelves with a "heat-treated beef sujuk" label by a company operating in the Nilüfer district of Bursa, single-hoofed animal meat was also detected.
