He stated, "There are millions of people who take 2 kilograms of sacrificial meat, dry it, turn it into powder, and add that powder to their meals for months." Erbaş added, "It does not suit us to ignore this."
The President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş, spoke at the '2025 Year Proxy Sacrifice Program Promotion Meeting' organized under the theme 'Share your sacrifice, get closer to your brother.' Erbaş stated that the act of sacrifice not only means getting closer to Allah but also strengthening unity, brotherhood, and social justice, emphasizing that the Diyanet extends a helping hand without discrimination both domestically and abroad.
"IT DOES NOT SUIT US TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO THIS"
Speaking about people who suffer from poverty and struggle to make a living under difficult conditions, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Erbaş, said, "There are millions of people who have been entrusted with the shares of sacrifice given to foundations, associations, and non-governmental organizations, watching over them for a year. There are millions of people who dry the 2-kilogram piece of sacrificial meat they receive and turn it into powder, adding that powder to their meals for months. It does not suit us to turn a blind eye to this."
